My association with Kristen has been one of the most positive experiences I have ever had. I wanted to gift my sister and brother-in-law with of one of her specially designed metal hearts for their anniversary. I consulted with Kris; she asked me to put together information about their life together that she could interpret artistically and include as design elements in the project. During the whole process of designing and “crafting” the heart, we collaborated numerous times; this amazing artist wanted to be sure she was re-creating my ideas into her own unique (and VERY special) art form. She provided working photos of her project as it proceeded, making changes, implementing ideas, doing whatever was necessary to make a “perfect” finished art piece. What a treasure she created!! I was interested in a piece of metal art as a gift for my wife for our wedding anniversary and, after seeing Kristen’s Steampunk Hearts, I knew this would be the perfect gift. I advised Kristen that this was a wedding anniversary gift and inquired if she could add mementos to the heart commemorating my relationship with my wife and our family. Kristen was very open to this and excited to be part of this experience. She invited me to her workshop where I selected the mementos from her vast collection of trinkets and confirmed the design; she listened to my ideas, was very patient and provided creative input that definitely enhanced the design. Kristen was very accommodating with my short turn-around-time and showed a genuine commitment to ensuring this gift met my expectations; we were in constant communication throughout the entire process of creating this art piece as she wanted to ensure I was comfortable with the design, layout and coloring. The final piece far exceeded my expectations and my wife absolutely loved it; it made for a very special anniversary. Step 1. Decide what you would like to include in the heart
Think about messages would like to convey in the heart. Themes might be about:
- special travel or vacation spots like Paris, the mountains, etc.
- hobbies, like hiking, wine tasting, movies, etc.
- sports you both enjoy.
- family, friends, pets.
- reading interests.
- the list is endless!

If you are feeling stuck, give me a call at 916-548-9541 and we can brainstorm together. I have lots of small items that can represent some of your interests, hobbies, or travel spots.

Collect personal items you have that convey fond memories of your message or theme:
- Favorite photos of the two of you, your family, your pets
- Special mementos or trinkets - cards, invitations, ticket stubs. If you don’t want to use the original, consider scanning or taking a photo of the items.
- Pick out any quotes or lyrics that have special meaning to you both.
Step 2. Order the heart and send me your items
Pick heart size:- 10 x 8" ($160)
- 12 x 10"($195)
- 18 x 16" ($350)
Pick heart color:
- red
- black
- antique brown
- purple
- blue
- silver
- green
- any themes or messages you want to convey
- any quotes or lyrics you would like included
- whether or not you will be emailing images or mailing items (see Step 3).
- any other special instructions

Step 3: Send me your items

Step 4: Approve the final layout
- Once I receive your items, I’ll start creating your love heart. I’ll fill it with all your goodies, and I’ll add some steampunk gears and trinkets as well.
- Once I’ve got the layout, I’ll send you a photo for your approval.
- Next, I’ll resin the heart. The resin takes 3 days to cure, then …
- I’ll ship it to you.
Step 5: Wow your sweetie!
Your Mom will love it … just like they love you.
